Prem Gursahani , an innovative banker turned first generation entrepreneur at the age of 43, has successfully turned his proprietory consultancy firm into a professional leading software product company. Prem has been closely associated with banking industry for the past 40 years. Having served in various positions in one of the largest banks in India for 23 years, he has been providing consultancy services to the banking industry since past 17 years. He has accomplished very complex consultancy assignments from the banking regulator Reserve Bank of India, and other key banks like HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Axis Bank (formerly UTI Bank), Times Bank, Centurion Bank of Punjab, Corporation Bank, and Oman International Bank.
Prem's best achievements include compilation of Master Circulars for Reserve Bank of India, the most unique and an almost impossible task initiated for the first time in the history of Indian Banking, under the leadership of Dr. Y. V. Reddy, then Dy. Governor, Reserve Bank of India.
Even before the onset of Basel II in the Indian Banking Industry, Prem had a foresight almost a decade ago to develop function-wise Compliance Manuals for the banking industry and then articulate these Manuals into software-based solution to facilitate daily updating. Today, banking regulator has made it mandatory for banks in India to provide function-wise Compliance Manuals to their operating staff.
Flagship products like Knowledge Management Tools - Regulator+ and Compliance+ along with latest innovative and cost-saving software solutions, such as Compliance Monitoring System (CMS+) and InstaCirculars+ are yet another classic marriage of his banking expertise, IT and the foresight.
