Dr. K Ramakrishnan is the Chief Executive of Indian Banks' Association since August 2008. Prior to joining IBA, he served as Chairman & Managing Director of Andhra Bank.
He was a member of the Managing Committee of IBA, Chairman of the IBA Committee on Basel II implementation and Risk Management to name a few.
He was conferred the 'Doctorate of Letters' by Acharya Nagarjuna University in 2006 for his contribution in the field of Banking.
He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Bank Management (NIBM) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Training & Development from the University of Manchester, U.K. and is also an MBA (Gold Medalist -First Class First).
