Ashish Patharkar has been the Executive Vice President (EVP) of Industrialization & Automation at Capgemini since April 1, 2019.
With more than 10 years’ experience at Capgemini, he has developed a deep knowledge of the Group’s main businesses, led technology practices and built new Digital & Automation capabilities.
Ashish is a Technology Evangelist and an ardent believer in innovation for the social cause such as sustainability. In his previous role, he served as Executive Vice President and Head of India for Financial Services Strategic Business Unit (SBU) at Capgemini where he spearheaded and executed Transformation and Strategic initiatives successfully.
Prior to joining Capgemini, Ashish worked at Tech Mahindra (erstwhile Satyam Computers) for more than 12 years where he held several roles such as Head of Banking & Capital markets delivery, Technology Practice Head, Program manager for large / complex delivery programs and solution leader. During his tenure at Satyam, he worked across many countries such as Japan, Malaysia, UK, USA and Germany.
Ashish started his career with Cummins India (erstwhile Kirloskar Cummins) in the area of Manufacturing IT. He was involved in building shop floor automation, expert systems, Building/Migration of ERP systems and Financials such as AR / AP / GL / Payroll / Fixed assets etc.
Besides his corporate leadership role, he serves Pune University as an external honorary evaluator for PhD students for their final thesis. Additionally, he is a member of various industry academia collaboration forums. Ashish holds a Master of Computer Management degree and separate Post Graduate Diploma in Advance Computer Science, where he ranked first in his college. He holds a Bachelor of Production Engineering degreefrom Pune University and is auniversity rank holder.
